Cell Phone Ban
This shouldn't be a problem for Californians who are already used to the Californian Cell Phone Ban which has already been instituted. In Hawaii, a similar law will take effect starting July 1st. It will be illegal to use the cell phones while driving, calling or texting. If you have the cell phone in your hand, they can give you a ticket...I guess there are a couple exceptions. 1) If it is an emergency 2) If it is a business call. It would be at the disgretion of the officer. The bill includes but is not limited to cell phones, PDAs, pagers, text messaging devices, laptop computers, video game players, and digital cameras.
