11) North Shore/Haleiwa

You can get an idea of where everything is in relation to each other as well as notice how small the island of Oahu is especially compared to California. You can probably drive around the island in a could of hours (depending on how many stops you make and traffic, of course). Here are a few things to keep in mind while driving around Oahu:

* There's a lot of traffic during rush hour. So avoid downtown or the freeways coming/going out during morning (7-9 am) and afternoon times (3-6 pm).

* The speed limit in Hawaii is a lot slower than the speed limit in California. Please be patient driving around. And it's always good form to give a little wave or shaka when changing lanes especially when people nice to you. There's only one small section in Oahu where the speed limit is 65 mph. Also, please be careful driving around because there are some crazy blind turns especially at the end of tunnels. We don't want any accidents. Be aware that we do have a minimum speed limit on freeways (usually around 45 mph). I know for some people, it will be the first time seeing this type of green and so many trees, but there will be plenty of time to enjoy the scenery.

* It rains all the time in Oahu or at least on some part of the island. The wedding ceremony/reception is located in a very wet part of the island. I wouldn't be surprised if it did rain. I would always be prepared with an umbrella and some extra clothes. Most of the time, rain will last for a few minutes, and then it's so sunny, as if rain had never happened.

* Waikiki - There are a lot of one way streets in Waikiki/downtown. I know that's probably where most of you will be staying. Pay attention to signs and flow of traffic.
